Here’s some info about the Community Camera Project
- First attempted at Burning Man in 2015
-Really came to life at Desert Hearts 2016
-Returned again to the 2017 Desert Hearts Festival
-The project was put on pause for way too long
-Revived in 2024 and organized into FULL GALLERIES
-Galleries can be viewed by hitting the LINK IN BIO
HOW DOES THE Community Camera Project WORK?
-Cameras are passed out at random
-Scan The Code & Follow
-Take 3 photos and pass it on!
-If you take the last photo, RETURN TO LOST & FOUND
Here’s some fun ways of passing on your camera:
-Ask to take a photo of a couple,
And then send them on a photo mission
-Photograph someone on the dance floor,
And ask them to take 3 and pass it on
-Take a photo with a stranger,
And get them excited to participate in the project
-Get Creative! Just take 3 photos that are badass, and give a quick rundown to whoever you pass it to
-I won’t be mad if you decide to use the whole camera as long as you return it to Lost and Found
-You can also leave it in a fun spot that someone will find it; if you’re feeling introverted or antisocial
-If you end up with a camera at home,
Scan the code and I will:
-Pay for shipping
-Pay to develop the photos
-Add them to the gallery
Or if you’re in San Diego with a camera, hit me up and let’s grab lunch! We can chat about our experiences
